Advertisers
must first obtain the consent of the Council
before they can display any form of advertisement
banners. The Council will issue permits
to those wishing to put –up advertisement
banners on buildings within the purview
of MPS or at any vacant advertisement
boards belonging to it.
Procedures
:
Applications
for permit can be made by submitting a
complete and clearly written Banner Display
Permit form. Applicants are required to
attach some supporting documents. Completed
application forms and required documents
must be sent to:-

Requirements

Charges
for the display of banners are as
follow:-

All charges have
to be settled before any banner can
be displayed. Deposit will not be
refunded should any of the requirements
below is not adhered to. Advertisers
must return the original receipt for
deposits made as soon as the period
for displaying the banner expires.
This is to enable the Council to refund
the said deposit.

Stickers must be
fixed at the bottom-right-hand corner
of each banner to be displayed.

Any act of displaying
a banner without permit will render
the advertisers being fined, in accordance
with Section 119 of the Local Governments
Act 1976.

Every application
form must be submitted together with
a sample of the artwork or design
to be used on the banners.

The writings on
the banner must be in Bahasa Malaysia.
Should any other languages be used,
the font size of each character must
not be more than ½ the size
of the Bahasa Malaysia characters.
Correct spelling and grammar is a
must.

If the banners
are displayed on private lands, the
permission of the land or property
owner must first be obtained.

Care has to be
taken so that the banners do not serve
as hindrance to the traffic or blocks
visibility.

Banners have to
be removed once the permit expires
or they have worn out or become defective.
-
Banners must at
all times be clean.
-
The Council does
not hold any responsibility should
the banners be lost.

Applicants must
check out the availability and location
of the MPS advertisement boards before
forwarding their applications.

Banners that are
displayed on the MPS advertisement
board will be charged RM 10.00 per
banner.
-
The banners can
only be displayed within a period
of not more than a month.

The standard size
for banners to be displayed on the
MPS advertisement board is 18’
x 3’. Banners of other sizes
are strictly prohibited.
