The ground breaking ceremony was held in 1990. Its was constructed in 2 phases i.e. Phase 1 : Construction of a Grand Hall, 2 dining halls, 1 theatre hall, 10 lecture rooms, one VIP room and one waiting room. Completed and has been used since 1st April 1995. Phase 2 : Surau and 2 hostel blocks. Competed and has been used since March 1998.Officiated on 24th June 1999 by the then Menteri Besar [Chief Minister] of Negeri Sembilan. Phase 3: Administration block was completed in December 2004 and has been used since March 2005

Negeri Sembilan State Mosque is located at the Jalan Dato’ Hamzah. It was built in 1966 and can accommodate as many as 3000 people at any one time. The site of this mosque was donated by the State Government. It was officiated by the Paduka Seri Tuanku yang DiPertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan on Friday, 24th November 1967.

The original name of this mosque is Ampangan Jamek Mosque, Seremban and is located at the Jalan Jelebu. It was built in 1928 and was founded by YM Dato’ Kelana Putra Maamor bin Kasim, the then Undang of Sungai Ujong Luak. After it was restored in 1963, 1978 and 1991, this mosque can now accommodate approximately 1500 people compared to only 300 people before the restoration was done. Its site was donated by the late Tok Mukim.
